The designer’s childhood memories of these chairs under the pine trees of her grandmother’s house in the mountains inspired this set of jewellery. The repetition of the weave triggers recurring nostalgia of her summers spent in Lebanon. Unfortunately today, this same pattern is reminiscent of the furniture used at funerals as well the dying craft of cane weaving in the Middle East. Our Khaizaran pieces serve as a reminder of this traditional craftsmanship in the form of jewellery.
